Pigeon Roost Farm is a working family farm which invites you to conduct your field trips at your own pace, with no formal presentation and no timetable. Follow your own curriculum, or allow the students to explore the farm as group.
We have many fascinating animals for you to observe, including camels, a miniature llama, miniature cows, goats, ducks, geese, bunnies and more! Find the queen bee in the observation bee hive.
Take a group picture in Paul Bunyan's chair. See how many different kinds of squash, gourds, and pumpkins your
students can identify—they may be amazed! Not all pumpkins are the same.
Finally, steer the group to the Great Pumpkin Fun Center, to explore our slides, tunnels, teepees and tree house. Maybe you want to stage races through the swinging Black Mambas, or see who will be first coming down the Rooster Racer.
We are a large farm with a lot of open space and plenty of free parking, so there is no need to schedule a specific time to visit. Come by the carload or bus load.
Admission to the Fun Center is $5.00/person for students, accompanying adults and siblings. There is no charge for teachers. We have small pumpkins available for an additional cost of $2.50. We would prefer groups to pay as a group rather than individually.
